Confined Space Training
Based on statistics, an average of two people die and more than 100 people get injured due to confined space accidents on a monthly basis.
Reports also show that those who have the least amount of training have a higher probability of getting injured or dying in these accidents. This is why it is important for employees in certain organisations to take a Confined Space training course.
iSafe’s Confined Space course is designed to help companies meet the requirements in the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Confined Spaces) Regulations 2001.
Our course is a combination of theoretical and practical knowledge. It equips participants with the know-how needed to work safely in confined spaces. It also covers techniques on how to deal with untoward incidents in a confined space.
Confined Space Training
This course is for all employees whose work involves entry into or being in confined spaces.
At the end of the course, the participants should:
- Know the meaning of a confined space, specifically its defining features
- Know and understand how different types of confined spaces are classified
- Identify hazards associated with entering or being in confined spaces, particularly the five specified risks identified in the Confined Space Regulations
- Be able to conduct a risk assessment of tasks involving working in confined spaces
- Be able to devise and use work practices that improve the safety in a workplace involving confined spaces
- Use the right emergency protocols in incidents involving confined spaces
We accept up to 6 participants per class.
Courses are between 1 and 3 days depending on the level of risk.
All participants need to take a written and a practical test at the end of the course.
The participants are going to receive an iSafe Certificate on Confined Space which is valid for 3 years after passing the assessments.
