Working at Heights Training

Work at height pertains to work where a person can be injured if they fall off from the place where they are situated – be it a place above or below ground level. Some examples of working at height include working on rooftops, ladders or adjacent to a deep excavation. 

Personnel who work at height constantly face the risk of suffering from severe injuries. While accidents cannot be totally eliminated, they can be reduced with training. 

iSafe is Ireland’s leading provider of Work at Height training course. Our programme adheres to the standards set in the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Work at Height) Regulations 2006. 

This course covers the basics of working at height. It is designed to help individuals work safely while on a ladder, a scaffolding or the roof.

Working at Heights Training

This course is for all employees whose duties involves working at height.

At the end of the course, the participants should:

  • Know the legislations and regulations concerning working at height
  • Know the effects and consequences of work at height accidents
  • Know the hierarchy of protection, controls & hazard management for working at height
  • Be able to identify risks associated with working at height
  • Be able to conduct risk assessment for working at height
  • Be able to identify appropriate equipment for working at height
  • Know the limitations and safety risks when using ladders and other work at height access equipment
  • Know the importance and proper use of safety equipment like harnesses and nets
  • Know the proper logging & maintenance of work at height equipment

We accept up to 12 participants per class.

This course runs between 4 hours and 1 day to complete depending on attendee competence

All participants need to take a written test at the end of the course. 

The participants are going to receive an iSafe Certificate on Working at Height. This certification is valid for 3 years.
